If you are desperate to show your site or blog to a lot of visitors without risking payments then you stand to be thoroughly humored notwithstanding the hard stats involved in this business.

There is no dearth of free traffic exchanges. You register for one and hundreds come up cozy for you. You can be on a registering spree creating numerous identities along with the passwords and cursing yourself for having to remember all these. Your traffic ride may soon land you in irresistible and inadvertent merriment.

First, the stumbling blocks. Though every traffic exchange promises free registration and free traffic the moment you register you get bombarded with the freebies of paid membership. You will be told in no uncertain terms why you must go for such offers to enjoy lasting long term benefits only at cost of few dollars. But since you stick to your no cost approach you shrug them off with a dry chuckle. With time you are set to become bolder and thus enjoying it more. They will not give up. You will not give in. And, your chuckles will expand into grins and laughter.

Secondly, the hits. You will be given a range of hits packages from 1000 to 100,000 or more with price tags for each of them to choose from. But of course, you will concentrate on getting free hits only. You will be asked to surf sites given by the concerned traffic exchange. You earn from 0.5 to 5 full points for each site you visit for the stipulated time ranging from 10 seconds to 30 seconds depending on the exchanges. You are bound to get into a super drive and a surfing extravaganza. The points you finally land up with will be converted into hits for your site. As you go on you realize that when surfing a site you hardly see what it is about or its content, you are just eager to tick off your mandatory seconds. The exchanges even set traps to ensure that the surfer is indeed a real human being. Now, you will think of the other human beings who visit your site just counting the seconds too. So, you will say, 'Okay, my visitors will only take my accumulated points away and will hardly know who I am! Ha! Ha! Ha! What a joke!'

Thirdly, the emails. Your in-box will yield an endless stream of emails everyday for you. From all the traffic exchanges you registered for and all related or affiliated or complemented or implemented sources. They will promise you so much money to be made in just minutes that you will run around your computer as if in a spell. You will be taken to pages that offer you heavily discounted prices for what they say unbelievable offers and the moment you try to leave the page you will be offered further cuts and pleaded not to navigate out. You can hardly suppress guffaws of intense ecstasy as you ruthlessly cut out of the pages.

Traffic exchanges are not meant to generate humor. But what is wrong if you manage few doses? That too, free!  Chinmay Chakravarty
